The Foundation

International Chopin Piano Festivals in Chopin’s Manor take place already from 60 years. It is the oldest unstopped festival all over the world, and also the oldest polish music festival. Chopin’s Manor is a place, where each year meet the gratest piano stars and fans of Chopin’s music. Piotr Paleczny, Artistic Director invites to Duszniki talented pianists from all over the world , for whom performance in Duszniki is often a debut in Poland. During the festival there are Master Classes which are lead by prominent educators.

The Foundation of International Chopin Festivals in Duszniki Zdrój was established in 1989 in order to support Chopin traditions that had started in 19 century. It is done effectively by continuation of their predecessors’ work. It organizes the International Chopin Festivals in Duszniki Zdrój, gathers archives: prints and photographs, commemorative medals; at present the history of tradition and Chopin Festivals is being prepared for printing, that has been written by historians and musicologists; video tapes and audio digital records are being archived. International Chopin Center is going to be made, where there will be organized master classes etc.
